Sorry this happened to you, man. I'm excited to read part 2. I know you are "being the better person" and all that and acknowledging that she was doing something similar to you (escaping the pain of life) but I still find it awful and truly cowardly what she did. Go self destruct in other, solitary ways if you must. Don't bring someone else down with you.
There are weird names that I've heard about: Bong Bong, Ubiquitous Perpetuity God, Victorious Sweat, Ben Dover, and P. Ennis, among others. But when you encounter a name like Saylor Tomasic. . . Now THAT should set off the alarms!
At first--and this is going to tell you something about my brain works--I was a little disappointed that this was not a story about an actual catfish. But it was a great story nonetheless, and now I'm eager to read Part 2. You're an excellent writer, and I admire the generosity of your insights into her motivations.
I do have to say, this post made me reminisce about the 2008 internet.
Back then, Catfish were often just lonely, morbidly obese people. Now they're Nigerian scammers who are determined to make you sell your house/liquidate your 401K

I can't argue with any of that, Niki. It's still hard to wrap my head around - Part 2 is live so feel free to check it out! :D
I did! And now I'm on the edge of my chair waiting for part 3, dammit!🤣
Oh, sookie-sookie now. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
I hope the story continues to entertain you!!!
Uhhhh, that's an affirmative, Houston! LOL All your shit is entertaining, Alex. Fo' reals.

Those are some WEIRD names, haha.
Especially Ubiquitous Perpetuity God. Just imagine the numerous way you could write the name:
God, Ubiquitous Perpetuity
God, U. Perpetuity
Ubiquitous P. God
U. P. God
U. Perpetuity God
God, Ubiquitous P.
Alexander, I am HOOKED! Can’t wait for part 2.
I love the enthusiasm, brother! Part 2 is marinating right now, stewing in its juices (eww) so stay tuned, haha.
I LOVE A SAGA and I can't wait for part 2.
You have a heart of gold and I want to hate Saylor but because you didnt- I won't! She's on thin ice tho. VERY THIN.
Haha, a good saga is hard to beat. I'll be interested to see what you think of Saylor when the story concludes! Stay tuned!!!
Great story-It really made me think! I mean, she/he tricked you and all, but you both got something out of it.
Good thing there was no Bitcoin back then for you to transfer!
Can you imagine if I'd sent a bunch of Bitcoin, haha. I'd probably still be losing sleep over it.
Please tell me this is a two-part story and not the beginning of a new Netflix series with a five-year story arc...
Hahaha, I'm happy to report it's three parts and you'll find out what happens over my next two emails. I guarantee you won't see what's coming 😎
Great story. Looking forward to the resolution. Love that so many people wanted to help. You're connected, man!
Thank you!!! You can't hold a good internet sleuth down (there were even more messages but I didn't want to clog up the article!).
And?
Part two is coming next week, so stick around to see what happens next (it is unexpected to say the least, haha)
Wow. Great story with a cliff hanger. I always look forward to reading your posts.
Thanks, Carol! I hope Part two is just enjoyable for you (I think it'll be pretty surprising)
I am on the edge of my seat! MORE! MORE!!
I love this energy! Part two is marinating as we speak, won't be long until you get your answers, haha.
Gripping story, Alex. It stirred something in me, for sure.
Thanks, Camilla 😃 Hopefully you enjoy Part two when it drops!
Can’t wait to see where this goes!
My man! Appreciate you, brother.
